My husband's youngest sister is engaged. She and her fiance are waiting for a declaration of nullity from his prior marriage to be able to move forward with their wedding plans. Unfortunately, they have encountered some bumps in the road. Her frustration with the people managing the process is spilling over. In a moment of anger, she mentioned leaving the Church over this. Could I ask your prayers for her and her fiance, that they will persevere in faith? Could I also for prayers for the people in the tribunal, for an increase in their patience and kindness in working with those seeking a declaration of nullity?

I don't know if this is still something that is happening, but I just saw your post and I thought I would let you know that I will definitely pray for all involved. I know my husband's sister and her now husband went through the process and it was a long one. They felt like giving up on it many times and just getting married out of the Church. They stuck with it though and now they say they are so glad they did because it brought them closer together and it made them realize how important the Church was to them. I will pray.
Thanks, Kathy! They just received the first affirmative response. Now we have to wait for the automatic appeal. Continued prayers would be much appreciated!

Count on mine as well, if they are of any worth.
I am going through nullity process myself.
It hurts a lot, hope finally helps to heal.

Thank you, too!!
I'll keep you in my prayers as well.

Definitely praying for your sister-in-law that she will have patience in dealing with the tribunal and that they might show her mercy as well!

An update: the final approval came through in May, and they were married (in the Church) in July of 2010.

They're expecting!!! They both turned 40 this year and really, really wanted to start a family. Thanks be to God!  And thanks to St. Terese. She was my go-to girl throughout this!
