I was wondering what folks are doing with their bags?  I have made four so far (pathetic, I know), but I can't decide whether to just throw stuff out or to give it to some sort of good will.  I worry that I am actually burdening a charity by making them sort through my used plastic toys to decide whether to sell them at a thrift store.  Also, I always feel kind of weird about just shoving stuff into those bins in a parking lot.  My mom used to take all our old clothes to a St. Vincent De Paul bin, but we don't have one nearby, and anyway, I think that is just for clothes?

I would love some advice.  I feel guilty (mostly environmentally) about just throwing it all out, but perhaps it is the best way to just get it out of my house/life without over thinking things?  Then there is that temptation to organize baby clothes for a consignment store?

Hey! I'm new here and my 6 month old isn't being cooperative right now so I was only able to skim the responses and am not sure if someone suggested this or not. Have you considered local Crisis Pregnancy Centers, daycares, the library? No one wants to do extra work, but I always hate the idea of things that are of use going to waste. Just a couple of suggestions. Hope they help!

If it's truly trash, it's going in to the trash.  However, I had a charity call me the other night and say "we wondered if you had anything to donate." Um, yup.  I will just put it out on the front porch before 8am and they come get it.  No loading it in the car and dropping it at Goodwill.  Yippee!

I started Wed and I have done 2 bags of trash and one bag to donate with 1/2 of another bag of trash gathered today from the master bathroom cupbourd and drawers. Who knew we had so many out of date things?
