i am so happy to be a part of this group. 5 years ago we adopted our beautiful daughter Joselin from Guatemala. What a trip that was it is hard to believe 5 years have gone by. i need some ideas for my daughter she feels bad that she did not come from my tummy like her sister Antoinette. any suggestions. marie mastronardi

Jeanne - sorry just replying now. I hope the homestudy [rocess is going ok...I think it would have driven us nuts if we didn't like our worker. I agree - you gotta be yourself in this process. Prayers for you.

Our new daughter is 3 weeks old today!!! I've been with her since she was 16 hours old and she left the hospital with us at 49 hours old. We are so blessed. Please keep her birthmom in your prayers.

Hi Maureen, Just noticed your question. Our new son is 15 months old. He has a heart murmur and is considered special needs. He was on the agency specific special needs list for our agency. When I saw his picture I knew he was our son. Had to convince my husband though...well not really me. Our Lord spoke to him.

Heidi, We started with the state system but ended up going with a private agency -- we just got completely fed up with the gov't system.

Our precious son is 3 1/2 years old. We adopted him at 9 months old from Guatemala. We just finished our updated homestudy and hope to bring his little brother home from China early next year

Craig and I foster-adopted our two kids in 2002. What a journey it has been!
