Year for Priests Faith Folder Dedication in Memory of Ryan Barrett

Many of you are probably familiar with Mary Ellen Barrett's work through blogs such as Tales from the Bonny Blue House, O Night Divine, etc. Many of you are likely also aware of the sad loss of their son, Ryan, last month. The story of this family's tragic loss and witness to the faith is inspiring. Ryan had a strong faith and a love for religious life. Many wondered if this young, autistic boy might have a special calling to the priesthood. I think he did and it is being lived out now. God's little priest from Heaven is drawing many closer to Christ. With the family's blessing, I have dedicated the Year for Priests Faith Folder in memory of Ryan Barrett and will be donating 50% of the proceeds from its sale to the two charities chosen by the family: Autism Speaks and Friar Suppliers.
