Tell us about yourself
Wife and mom of six. We have one child who has autism, and our oldest is serving with the Army, so these are very important issues to us. I love reading, music, writing poetry, songs and fiction, going to the drive in during the summer, family stuff, studying Catholic theology especially Mariology. I became a Catholic on Christ The King Sunday, 2006.
I am going to be a grandmother this summer!

"To encounter but once the Heart of the Lord Jesus is to never forget Him, and to be forevermore taken by love of this sweet Redeemer. Yet many will not allow their hearts to be conquered by the good Jesus because they fear the cost of being in love with Him; they fear the sacrifices that it would entail. For this reason it is necessary to have a pure heart...a heart detached from pride and from the world, so that nothing might keep one from surrendering to the love of Jesus. For it does hold one captive--this love--, yet whoever surrenders to it would never wish to be freed from its chains." ~ St. Faustina

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

found this at a website for Jesse Romero~ I thought it was important to pass along!

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

Our Lord dictated the following prayer to St. Gertrude the Great to release 1,000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is recited:

"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the… Continue

Stones to Jewels

This poem came out of a picture I saw in my mind one day when I was praying. I hope it will encourage you as Jesus encouraged me! Our prayers and praises matter to Him. His kindness is so amazing.

~Stones to Jewels~

The words I find to praise you can never be enough

They drop like stones,

or fall like dry leaves upon the ground.

But then I see you

You bend to gather them with your precious hands,

holding them close to your heart.

Then,… Continue

Jesus' Love for us

A friend found this anonymous poem online. I wanted to share it, I think it's so beautiful! I hope people will be touched by these words about Jesus' love for us.

When love beckons to you, follow him,

Though his ways are hard and steep.

And when his wings enfold you yield to him,

Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.

And when he speaks to you believe in him,

Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north… Continue
