Exercising While Pregnant

I'm pregnant with our fourth child right now and am feeling tired and rather unmotivated at times.  And I love, love, LOVE to walk but I'm not always able to find the time because of errands I have to get done on the days I'm not working.  Do any of you have any ideas on how I can exercise in my home that is healthy for me and the baby and not too strenuous? I would just love to get my metabolism going so I don't have a lot of recovering to do when baby is born. Thanks ahead of time!See More

I'm currently a stay-at-home mom of three. I used to be a special education teacher, but I don't miss the rushing around that a full-time job gave me. I have been home for about 4 1/2 years now and love being a wife and a mom!

Feeling a Little Distant Lately

Wow, it has been a long time since I have blogged anything. Life seems to be rushing by without me in it!

So much has changed in just a few months, mainly one being that we are now expecting our 4th child, unexpectedly. My husband and I have been practicing NFP for about a year and a half and it has surely been a roller coaster ride. Since getting off the birth control pill, my signs have been everywhere! From too much mucus to none at all, that's how this one happened. I hadn't had… Continue

Our Hope Is In You

Saint Thomas More

May Your kindness, LORD, be upon us;

we have put our hope in You.
Psalms 33:22

When I read this passage this morning, I immediately thought about our own nation, the United States of America. I think about the God-less state we are in and wonder where we will stand when our Lord comes to judge us all again. Abortion, murder, euthanasia, artificial creation of life, the… Continue

Much Love in Reserve

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

With joy you draw water

at the fountain of salvation... Isaiah 12:3

The devotional for today comes from Living Faith:

Imagine the difference between those who enjoy the brightness of the sun and those who have only the scant light of a lamp. The ones who are in the sunshine have no jealousy of each other. They know there is enough light for everyone... Lamplight is limited and often insufficient. Others envy the one who has… Continue

Faithbooking

I have been a consultant with Creative Memories for almost 2 years now. I don't have a business with it or anything like that, but I love getting the discount on their products for one of my favorite hobbies. I just recently learned about this new thing the co-founder Rhonda Anderson does called Faithbooking. It's really quite awesome and I have done a little bit of it myself. I wanted to share the information with you on my new blog I just started.… Continue

Oh I forgot about that! Yes I love to "fall back" an hour. One extra hour of sleep...no mom would say no to that!
Have a good day and God bless you.

Hi Karen!

Thank you for joining the prayer group. I hope you enjoy it and do not be shy to add your favorite prayers and/or your prayer intention. I will be very happy to pray for anyone who asks.

Trying to get use to this site. It is bursting with young families and children... very exciting. I have grandchildren but they live out of state.. so I see them a couple of times a year.

Well.. hope to talk a little later on. Maryland, some tell me, is a very pretty state. I have never been. Am living in Miami. Getting very hot here - hit 100 the other day... needless to say, I'm inside! :)

Later....

Hi-

Just a little hello to let you know I made a prayer group so that all may pray for each other as well as our own family and friends.

Prayers are the best gift we can give each other and it is a gift from God also. It is our only manner to touch the heart of and communicate with the Divine.

So, feel free to join us and add your own prayers and favorite meditations.

God Bless!
Maria

Hi Karen,
"Bible Belt" is an informal term for the area of the U.S, mainly the South, in which evangelical Protestantism ("Bible-alone" denominations such as Baptist and Church of Christ) are a dominant part of the culture, and where us Catholics are a very small minority. I guess I ought to have called it "Catholics in the Bible Belt". In any case, I cancelled the group; I was a little nervous about how it would be received, and your response kind of confirmed my hesitatation. So... congratulations and welcome to the Catholic Church! I just love this Faith & Family group!
