"Although it might not be considered a traditional form of bible study, you might want to consider trying Magnificat Magazine as something different. It is an easy-to-read pocket-sized daily Mass companion for use in church or at home. Each day…"

"Sandra, I am very sorry for your loss. I lost a baby, Joseph Augustine, at 11 weeks in September, and it was an awful time for me and for my husband. Most people's encouraging words failed to help me, but the comments and prayers from the women…"

"MR, I am so sorry for your loss. Do you have a "Mother's Manual"? My Mom gave me a copy, it was a pamflet for Mom's given to her at a Catholic Hospital. It has a lot of beautiful prayers. Following is a prayer "At the death…"

Prayers after a miscarriage

My husband and I just learned that I had a miscarriage. This is my third baby, but first miscarriage. We are so sad right now, and I ask for your prayers for our family. My husband and I have found great comfort by praying for the baby over the last few days since my bleeding started. Does anyone know of a prayer or set of prayers designed particularly for this situation?

"What about starting a playgroup? Talk with your pastor and see if it's ok to put a notice in the bulletin and maybe meet somewhere on the church grounds (like the nursery, if your church has one). We have a storytime Mommy and Me and an…"

MR replied to Leticia Velasquez's discussion Great summer read: "Death of a Pope" in the group "Catholic Book Club"
"I just wrote a lengthy post that I accidentally deleted. Ugh. I'll try to summarize what I wrote before. Overall, I liked the book. It has a subtlety that is often lacking in contemporary "Catholic" fiction. Rather than beating the…"

"I just requested it from my library a couple of weeks ago. All of the copies are already checked out (which is a good thing, I think), but I'll post again after I've read it."
